Declined invitations, 1983-1986.

This series contains the declined invitations for the Governor's attendance and/or participation in events. The series includes correspondence in the form of letters and formal card invitations sent to the Governor. As these invitations were received by the Governor's office they were stamped with a number which correlates with the correspondence control list kept in the Governor's filing office. The invitations contain notations indicating regrets and occasionally a letter of regret is attached to the invitation.
